Straight forward and to the point, couldn't fault him. We put our house up with them (Aug-24), and chose to manage the appointments ourselves due to work commitments (the fee was reduced for this option). This was super easy and convenient. don't be deceived by the 'online estate agent'.they're real experienced agents, just without a shop. lets be honest, who even goes into an estate agents nowadays anyway. We arranged our no obligation valuation with PB and they came over on the bank holiday Monday for new year. no 9-5 agents here!
they were by FAR cheaper than every other agent I spoke to- by nearly £1000 in some cases. Their prices include VAT and they have a money back guarantee so you're getting everything that a 'normal' agent does.
Joe Hattley was our local expert and from the off was informative, communicative, personable and no question was daft. he spent nearly 2 hours with us walking through the process before we even agreed that we were going to sell. He wasn't pushy but very much wanted us to do what was right for us. We paid the inflated fee to have PB deal with the viewings etc for us and I'm so pleased we did because I didn't expect our house to get the interest it did and I literally couldn't have done it without them as a first time seller.
The photographer was lovely, really complimentary and the images he produced were great. The turnaround was super fast too- our house was listed and sold within 6 days of Joe first coming to see us. David Chappell was the gent who did our viewings and negotiations and I can't fault his communication and awareness of our priorities. He actually asked questions about the house too- like what are the neighbours like, what kind of boiler is it, is the loft boarded? all the things I have historically asked at viewings but regretfully I've often been met with a dumbfounded expression from an agent who has just turned up with a key.
Both David and Joe understood our specific circumstances and were flexible and tailored their approach to best suit us and get us what we wanted. Both David and Joe were available to me on their mobiles out of hours and we received text communication and calls with updates with Dave ringing me at 8pm to tell me about offers which I found great in an anxious process.
Highly recommend purple bricks and if you are reading negative reviews below about how purple bricks let people down or didn't get back to them- take it with a pinch of salt; the market is so buoyant right now that we had over 40 viewing requests and people were of course going to be disappointed- that's not unique to PB but indicative of any agent. And by the way, the most of the agents I had to deal with to view properties myself that were not PB I found to be pushy and honestly felt like they were doing me a favour with the exception of who we bought through in the end.
the App is great as you can see a progress report at any time to see the number of viewings, offer status and views on Rightmove so no ringing agents for updates. only thing is that the notifications can drive you a bit bonkers but that's only a tiny thing.
